Boys Soccer have a record of 3-13 on the season. Despite not having the flashiest record the team improved with a better record than last season and is moving in the right direction. Senior Captain Landon Petry was asked, With a lower chance to make playoffs, what will you do to make the best out of the remaining games? “The rest of the season I will keep pushing my team to the best of their abilities. With playoffs out of the picture we still want to finish strong and get some wins to end our year.”
Girls Volleyball also have a record of 10-8 with a playoff match against Dover remaining. Timberlane has maintained a steady record throughout the season and looks to finish off strong and head into the playoffs. The team has battled against some of the top teams in the state and look to be a force in the playoffs. Senior Captain Ashlee Salafia was asked, with a good chance to make the playoffs and not a strong group of remaining teams, what are the expectations? “We plan to finish the regular season on a 4 game winning streak and play as hard as we can and not play down to the teams since we know they don’t have the best record. We are going to play as hard as we can for our last few games to make it as far as we can in playoffs.”
Lastly Girls Soccer has a record of 5-10-1 with Memorial 0-13, Exeter 12-1, and Nashua South 1-7-5 remaining. Despite not having quite the same success as in previous years the team has competed as hard as they can. They look to compete in the first round of the playoffs against Bedford. Captain Lila Fitzgerald was asked, With a slim chance at playoffs, what do you plan for the rest of the season and pass on to the team next year? “We are a very young team with lots of underclassman starting for us. Although that is causing trouble for us now, the younger players will have lots of game experience and be able to be more comfortable on the field as the years go on.”
Throughout this fall season Timberlane has competed across multiple sports teams. As a group they have two teams in the playoffs and one more team looking to enter. Records of the teams have mostly improved from the previous season and hope to get all teams in the playoffs next year.
