Manchester police stated Jihad Al-Shamie was on bail for an alleged rape when he rammed his car into a synagogue and continued a stabbing attack on Thursday morning. Police believe that he was influenced by extreme Islamist ideology because he attacked the synagogue on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar. The Manchester police have six people in custody that they believe are connected to the crime. In addition, the police watchdog is now examining the use of lethal force by Manchester Police when fatally killing the terrorist and a civilian who was caught in the crossfire of the police.
Adrian Daulby was one of the men killed in this attack, he will be remembered as a kind, down to earth human being. Melvin Cravitz, also a victim of this heinous crime, is remembered as kind,caring, and very devoted to his family. They believe Daulby died due to a police bullet during the attack. The police force is receiving hate and criticism for this accident.
Rabbi Daniel Walker explained seeing “hate and evil,”as Al-Shamie tried to get through the synagogue doors, these men stepped up to try and keep him out.
