Near the U.S. Capitol building, a Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein Statue has temporarily been placed. There was a plaque saying “In Honor of Friendship Month – We celebrate the long-lasting bond between President Donald J. Trump and his “closest friend,” Jeffrey Epstein.”
The Statue references Donald Trump’s long and close connection with the infamous financier and sexual predator, Jeffrey Epstein. This statue compliments the public’s demands for the Epstein Files, a record of all the crimes committed by Epstein and the people connected to him. The public has been hoping for its release due to the potential trouble it could have on the President if he was confirmed to be on the records.
The statue itself was first placed in D.C.’s National Mall on September 24th, 2025. It was quickly removed by park police within 24 hours from its original installation, but it came back in the same location on October 2nd, 2025. It got a permit to be put up, and it stayed until October 6th, 2025 when the permit expired. The statue was claimed to be created by a group called “The Secret Handshake,” an anonymous artist collective.
