Following a devastating penalty kick loss in round two of the playoffs last year, TRHS boys soccer, led by Captain Trevor Baggett look to have a bounce back year. It will be a tough task to accomplish with the absence of so many seniors from last season, but hopefully the boys can continue the winning tradition.

After going 16-3-2 in last year’s season, the TRHS boys soccer team had big hopes for the playoffs and maybe even a potential state championship. There are a few familiar faces, including Captain Trevor Baggett. Other seniors that were on last year’s squad include Cole Babson, Billy Savage, Devon Perelgut, and Jake Silva.

About last year’s playoff exit, Trevor Baggett said ¨It was disappointing, it felt like we should have won and could have made a run for the championship. It was a heartbreaking and emotional defeat.¨ He also shared his hopes for this year’s team and what he hopes he gets out of it. ¨A rebuild but also a learning experience. We will still shoot for success and a winning record, hopefully we are able to turn this season around.¨

The boys have had a tough start to the season with an  0-5-1 record, their most recent being a loss 7-0 to Londondary. Hopefully the boys will be able to bounce back soon and start winning some more games. Hopefully the team can start winning and hopefully making it back to the playoffs once again this season!
