The House Maid was originally a book before it became a movie, in 2025. Millie takes a job from hell as a house maid for the Winchesters. During the interview the house looked beautiful and so put together, as did the owner, Nina. When Millie arrives on her first day, she quickly finds out that is not how it really is. While Nina throws a fit over lost papers her husband Andrew comforters her. Millie realises she might be attracted to Andrew (theguardian.com).
Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried starred in this thriller along with their co-star Brandon Skeller. All three of these actors are very popular and the casting drew in more viewers. Sydney Sweeney’s acting in this movie wasn’t her best, however Amanda Seyfried did an incredible job portraying a psycho boss. Along with Brandon Skeller who was hiding many secrets as he played Andrew.

I couldn’t compare it to the book because I didn’t read it. This movie was nowhere close to how I expected it to go. Just when I thought it was Nina being crazy and I thought I knew what was going to happen, someone else exposes more underlying secrets. The film had such a great mix of comedy, thriller, mystery and romance. It really had me on the edge of my seat, I kept wanting to look away but I wasn’t able to. The movie had so many twists and turns, I thought I knew where it was going but then it went in a totally different direction.
I saw this movie in theaters twice, it was that good. Watching it for a second time I was really able to focus and catch those little details that made the movie so much more interesting. Play close attention to what is a privilege…
“It’s twisty, tantalizing, and utterly unpredictable: Feig the director or the movie gives viewers a fantastic “girls’ night out” movie in this book-based thriller. This sisterhood story has many secrets, so if The Housemaid is on your must-see list (and this is a recommendation that it should be), then see it as soon as possible, because the only thing you should know is that you have no idea where it’s going!” says Common Sense Media.
There’s so much to unfold in this movie and it all comes together in the end. I highly recommend you go watch The House Maid Movie if you haven’t already!
