The Brook in Seabrook is a place with casino gaming and gambling, It’s New Hampshire’s only retail sportsbook location. It opened in 2019 after being purchased by Nevada-based Eureka Casino Resort, says NHPR.org. The Brook did a lot of renovation in the past couple years and it is now a year round entertainment hub with more than 500 machines. Their renovations were a brand new part of the building to feature more food, games, and seating. They are adding 18,000 square feet to the front of the casino to make more gambling space right now! Along with the expansion they will be adding outdoor fire pits and outdoor tents for activities, this expansion is expected to be done sometime at the beginning of 2026 according to NHPR.org.
The Brook has plenty of games that you can play while you’re there. Some of the most popular games are Ultimate Fire Link, Dragon Link, Flaming Hot Pots, and Mo Mummy. Other games they have are penny, nickel, quarter denoms, as well as 50 cent, $1 and $5 machines. People go to the brook for the games since there is a wide variety of them and everyone has their own place there.
Before the building was The Brook it was the Seabrook Greyhound Park which opened in 1973. The greyhound park facility was a racetrack that many people loved the sport until it was sadly banned by NH in 2008. In 2019, the property was bought by the Nevada-based Eureka Casino Resort, which began a multi-million dollar renovation and rebranded the building as “The Brook.”It is now a large charity casino and entertainment center featuring a poker room, racebook, casino games, and a DraftKings Sportsbook. NH operates under a charity gaming law that requires them to donate a portion of their revenue to non profit organizations.
There has been word about the brook changing from being 18+ to 21+. This has worried lots of young gamblers. But according to www.livefreeandplay.com the proposal for NH to raise sports betting from age 18 to 21 was rejected by law makers in January of 2025.
