The Texas Roadhouse rolls challenge started with a group of teenagers from Cheshire, CT when they ate 132 rolls (33 baskets) in just one sitting. This record was made in 2021 when it was filmed and posted on a popular social media “TikTok” where it went viral and so the challenge began. Everybody knows about the mouth-watering, cinnamon-honey butter, delicious rolls at Texas Roadhouse but could anyone imagine eating 33 baskets of them? Personally, I love my Texas Roadhouse rolls and I could eat a lot I imagine, but 33 baskets of them? I’m not sure.

These teenagers were lucky enough to film this experience and go viral on several social media platforms. “As of early October, their post has been ‘liked’ by 1.8 million people.” The teenagers didn’t know their video had blown up so much until one of the kids got a DM from “Barstool Sports” asking permission to post their video on their page. “I didn’t find out that we got picked up there until a few days after we got the record,” reflected Coleman. “I got a call and a DM (direct message) asking for permission to post the video. I was surprised, but it was very cool.” These teenagers also got in their town’s newspaper.

Many people would say this record is not as impressive as it seems because 7 separate people were eating the rolls, but let’s think about it. 132 rolls were eaten in total, so 132 divided by 7 is 18ish rolls. That’s 18 rolls per person… In my opinion, that’s pretty impressive. How many people do you know that could eat that many? Would you have to have some kind of tactic right? “There were three rolls per basket,” stated Nguyen. “I like to take four at a time, squeeze the buns in water, and eat them.” Buns in water? That sounds gross.

Although I love the Texas Roadhouse rolls I honestly could not see myself eating more than 10 never mind more than 18 of them. Do you think someone will be able to break this record?
