PLAISTOW, NH — Timberlane High Schools Soccer is kicking off the season with new rising goalie prospect Sean Ward.

High School senior Sean Ward is making his soccer debut with the Owls this season. With the loss of star keeper Dylan Brandano, Ward is looking to fill the void in the Owls defense. Seans decision to play soccer came after his friends encouraged him to join the team. It was something he always had interest in doing but finally made the commitment in his senior year. Sean spent most of the offseason lifting and working on his soccer skills at the Phan Zone and his hard work is likely to show up on the field.

Teammate Anderson Petry said “I think he’s pretty good. He can use some work on his punts but he’s been making big plays in net.” Throughout a couple games Sean has shown a glimpse of greatness but definitely has room for improvement. With the arrival of Freshman Sebastion Schatz, a goalie competition has broken out on the owls roster.

Even though he has had some great games in net his the starting goalie has not been named. The keeper himself has said “I have been working hard on the field and focusing on getting better everyday. We may not be the best team but we have a lot of heart and we support each other.”  Although Sean and the Owls have had a rough start to the season they are keeping their spirits high and working hard to get ready for playoffs.

Sean and the Owls have had a slow start to the season to say the least, but are looking to turn that around in their upcoming games. Some games to look out for are Home Vs Bishop Guertin on October 15th and rivalry vs Londonderry on the last game of the season.
