After James Gunn’s banger movie ‘The Suicide Squad”, he wanted to expand on some of the characters.  I do not think many people liked Peacemaker because he was a very serious and unemotional guy who would kill anyone in the name of peace. . HBO Max has released by far one of the most enjoyed DC shows in a long time.

At first I did not know what to think about John Cena playing a superhero, but I then realized how entertaining it is to watch him.  He was really funny and I hope the studio keeps on casting him for future shows.  Even though he is funny, his family life is falling apart ever since his brother died.  As he grew up, his dad taught him how to fight and kill.  This made Peacemaker emotionally scared because his whole life was centered around murder.  John Cena played the role well because he made this fictional character feel like a real person.

The story takes place six months after the movie and it explains what has been happening in the world.  The first scene shows Christopher Smith (Peacemaker) recovering in the hospital from his fight in The Suicide Squad.  Chris was happy he was home free, but unfortunately his boss Amanda Waller was not done with him.

He and his assigned team were sent on a mission of stopping an alien race from invading earth.  I liked them showing the Peacemaker’s life at home, especially his dad who is the supervillian White Dragon.  He is very rude and mean to his son who did not do anything wrong.  This made me feel bad for Chris who was really sad for some of the episodes because of his dad.

My favorite side character was Vigilante who is a lot like Deadpool but he is in the DC universe.  He is the most interesting character because he thinks that he is best friends with Peacemaker, when it is obvious that Chris is not interested in being buds.  Eventually Vigilante showed his worth to Chris who did want to be friends by the end of the show.

My favorite part of the show was when some members of the Justice League showed up at the end of the final battle.  Aquaman and Flash pulled up but they were late to the party.  Despite the problems with the finale, I am happy with the outcome.
