Many people had their doubts about the new Batman film that was released earlier this month. It’s safe to say that most people agree that the movie was fantastic, and some go as far to say it is the best Batman movie of all time.

Robert Pattinson stars as the caped crusader in The Batman. The story is set 2 years after Bruce Wayne becomes the masked vigilante of Gotham City. In those 2 years that Batman has been protecting the streets, he is already feared by criminals all over the city.

Now that Batman has a name for himself, he decides to team up with Police Lieutenant James Gordon to take down the creepy serial killer The Riddler. However while trying to take down The Riddler, Batman discovers corruption within the city and makes it a priority to find out what is really going on behind the scenes.

The cast for this film is absolutely brilliant. Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman is a great match along with Robert Pattinson’s Batman, they have incredible chemistry and every scene they are in together is amazing. The villains portrayed in the movie are what really make this movie peak fiction. Paul Dano as The Riddler brings a creepy and sinister presence when on screen, that rivals even Heath Ledger’s grammy winning performance as Joker, in The Dark Knight. John Tuturro and Colin Farrell also play great in their roles as The Penguin and Carmine Falcone. Both John and Colin play their roles amazingly well and bring malicious intent while on screen.

The development of Batman’s character throughout the story is a big part as to why the movie is great. At the start of the movie we see Batman beat up a gang of guys wearing face paint, and he says the line “I’m Vengeance”.  Throughout the movie many events happen which cause Batman to second guess what he is really fighting for. Ultimately Batman decides fighting for vengeance isn’t how he should go about things, and he should be a symbol of peace and justice.

The Batman was action packed and never had a boring moment in its 3 hour run time. If you hear someone give it a bad review they are just a hater. This movie was an easy 10/10, and is super enjoyable whether you have watched a Batman movie before or not. The Batman is a must watch!
