Holiday Shopping

This year has been a tough year for everybody but we can’t let it ruin the holidays. When shopping for the holidays we need to maintain safe measures to prevent the virus from further spreading. It is important that stores keep up with their guidelines to insure in person shopping is maintaining social distancing whenever possible. Many stores hope that the majority of holiday shopping will be done online this year. According to CNBC news holiday shopping started months earlier this year than in previous years as customers panicked they would not be able to shop for the holidays. 

When you shop for the holidays try to resort to shopping online rather than going into stores.  CNBC news discusses the many stores and malls that have already been shut down due to a spread of the virus at the store. You do not need to shop in person to get all of your christmas shopping done, all stores today offer online shopping to make a safer and faster shopping experience. The owner of Bed Bath and Body, Mark Tritton says, “It’s a very different season. And I think we are all going to learn together as we go through it.” Businesses and shoppers must work together and be patient as we enter the holiday season that is like no other before. 

With travel being limited, holiday gatherings will be smaller this year than in previous years so holiday shopping may not be to the typical extent. You can even order gifts online and ship them directly to a loved ones home. Shopping is made easier online as thr majority of businesses are investing money into their electronic stores to make it the most convenient way for their clients to shop. CNBC news reports that online sales are expected to increase 25 to 35% in relation to past years reaching up to $196 billion.
