A new trend is on the rise:  tea and protein drink recovery bars. Close to home, a new drink destination has been established. The Nutrition Corner ,located in Derry, New Hampshire, is a new and fun place for recovery shakes and teas. The atmosphere, menu, and staff are positive and resourceful.

Prior to my visit, I decided to conduct some research. To do this, I followed them on social media and looked through their page to get a feel of what I was walking into. The marketing is outstanding. At a glance, potential customers see an array of beautifully colored teas and delectable shakes. There is no doubt that the target audience is teenagers and adults. Not only do they keep an updated and festive menu but possess a rewards program along with holding various events throughout each month. Some examples include a paint night, photo contests, and coupons. As the food and beverage industry is competitive, it would be hard to top this marketing strategy.

The two main items that are sold are a combination of mega teas and protein shakes. These can be drunk in the store or can be indulged at home. Their claim to fame is that all shakes vary from 180-300 calories with a whopping 32 grams of protein and come in a plethora of flavors. In regards to mega teas, they contain around 85 milligrams of caffeine and less than three grams of sugar. Being very involved in both nutrition and physical health, I thought, ‘Is this too good to be true? “ Let’s find out.

On Monday November 1, 2020 I decided to review this hip and relevant eatery. Walking into the store, my first impression was that it was beautifully decorated, and the staff was more than friendly and accommodating. Looking over the menu, I was blown away from the amount of both mega teas and protein shake flavors. The possibilities are endless, there are a variety of  options from reese’s peanut butter cup to festively themed drinks. I decided to order a mega tea combo. Which is a mega tea and a protein shake. I chose the Frankenstein (Mint Chocolate Chip Shake) and a Chucky mega tea (Pomegranate and Peach Tea). The amount came to a grand total of $15.32. These drinks were great; they tasted just as advertised. However, I didn’t enjoy the shake as much as I would have hoped. It was very thick and heavy on my stomach. On the other hand, the tea was exceptional. It was the perfect combination of sweet and refreshing. I adored the atmosphere and the overall vibe but disliked the price.

It’s always such a good vibe when you step foot in the door. I’ve had a lot of medical issues this past year. The probiotics in the teas, other ingredients, and shakes have helped me tremendously. Love coming here and will continue to.”

There is no doubt that The Nutrition Corner will continue to be a successful establishment. The marketing, menu, and staff were exceptional, and I can see myself coming back again. I would recommend that others visit The Nutrition Corner and purchase a mega tea combo; the best of both worlds.
