Winter Dates

Kelsey Riley

There is no better time of the year than winter to go on fun and romantic dates with your significant other. Living in New England, the date ideas are endless with our own winter wonderland right outside our doors. According to CBN News, “ During the holidays, the most common excuses are “no money” and “no time”.” You can eliminate those excuses by having these activities of all price ranges and time frames to make your holiday season a little more magical.  You can do anything from a day spent watching holiday movies in front of the fire to a day spent skiing down a mountainside.

If you are looking for a cheap activity to get into the holiday spirit spend your night looking at christmas lights, watching holiday movies, or listening to holiday music. Your date ideas do not need to be long or expensive. The idea of a date is to talk and to spend time with your partner. CBN recommends spending a day relaxing at home building snowmen and drinking hot chocolate.

Spend some time outside and enjoy the wonders that come with living in the North. According to Samachar News, the best ways to spend your winter days are skiing, sledding, and cutting down christmas trees. If you’re looking to cut down your perfect tree check out Tonry Christmas Tree Farm or Noel’s Tree Farm. Take a day trip to Laconia Sledding Hill and enjoy a day of sledding or take a trip to Loon Mountain Resort and spend your day skiing and sledding down gorgeous mountainsides.  You can never go wrong baking cookies or having a gingerbread decorating contest. The opportunities are endless of what to do with your loved ones.

If you are interested in a longer date idea, take a trip to the mountains and go on a snowshoe hike for the day. You can never forget the holiday favorites of seeing your favorite celebrities perform holiday concerts or going to see the christmas carol live!

When it comes to the holidays you have loads of opportunities of how to make the season more special to you and your significant other. Make this holiday the best one yet and find fun activities that fit you.
