Bruno Mars is one of the most popular and best selling artists of the 21st century.

Peter Gene Hernandez, professionally known as Bruno Mars, was born on October 8th of 1985 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Bruno spent his entire life in Hawaii up until 2003 when he graduated High School. Growing up, he had a very big, loving family, and they were all big into music. His father was a latin percussionist, and his mother was a singer. He and his siblings always made music, and Bruno himself had his own drum set, piano, and a guitar. He joined his family’s musical act as an Elvis impersonator when he was only four years old, according to Biography.com.

Bruno Mars got his nickname when he was little. His older sister, Jaime Kailan, told biography.com, “The name Bruno came from baby times…Bruno was always so confident, independent, really strong-willed and kind of a brute—hence the name Bruno—and it kind of just stuck”.

Eventually, after he graduated from Roosevelt High School in 2003, where he formed a school band with his friends, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dreams of becoming an artist. He was introduced to Philip Lawrence, who had already been in the music industry for a bit, and still helps Bruno write and produce songs. Bruno Mars has produced many songs we all know. Some big songs being “Forget You” by Ceelo Green and “Right Round” by Flo-Rida.

Eventually, he started being featured on tracks like “Billionare” by Travie McCoy and “Nothin’ On You” by B.O.B in late 2009-early 2010. That is when his career finally took off. From that point, he and his band, The Hooligans, released his first album that following October of 2010, named Doo Wops and Hooligans, featuring the songs “Just The Way You Are”, “Grenade”, “Marry You”, and many more popular songs we all know.

Later on, he released his second album Unorthodox Jukebox on December 7, 2012, featuring the songs “When I Was Your Man”, “Locked Out Of Heaven”, “Treasure”, and “Young Girls”. 24k Magic is his most recent album from November 18, 2016. It features the songs “24k Magic”, “Finesse”, “That’s What I Like”, and more.

Bruno Mars has a net worth of a whopping $175 million. His 24k Magic World tour grossed over $200 million as of 2018, according to Billboard.com. It is one of the most successful tours in the world. From personal experience and from stories of concerts, his concerts attract everyone of all ages. The fans range from kids to grandparents, and he throws a great show for everyone and makes everyone have a great time! His performances truly are for the entire family to enjoy.

Bruno has also donated back to the community and people in need. In 2018, he donated 24,000 Thanksgiving meals to families in need back in his home state of Hawaii, according to Popsugar.com and ebony.com.

He currently resides in Los Angeles with his girlfriend Jessica Caban.
