Dear Hoot Readers,
No matter the time or place, I will always remember Timberlane. This year has brought me so much more than just journalism. I found new friends, made fun memories, and learned the most I ever have. I learned how to write clearly and efficiently, how to manage my time wisely throughout projects, and how to analyze what I read. Reading every class and always doing hands-on activities kept me engaged and alert every class no matter how tired I was that early in the morning. Mr. O enlightened me on a whole new aspect of literature and writing which I would have never even thought to explore.
From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank Mr. O’Loughlin. He has brought laughter and fun to the classroom since day one while truly making me love going to his class. He never failed to bring a smile to my face with his fun little To-Do’s on his Canva presentation. He always understood that things come up and people may not have time to do things. He was truly one of the best teachers I have ever had and I am so sorry to see him go from Timberlane. I wish you luck at Londonderry and I know you will spark passion for journalism in other students just as you have for me.
As one last word to the readers, I thank you for your attention to our monthly articles. I may not speak for the rest of the journalism students, but I do say that some of us work very hard to deliver detailed and helpful articles. Whether it was a Crumbl Cookies review or a report on a South Carolina bush fire, we always put our best foot forward. Again, thank you for your loyalty to the Hoot and Timberlane students.
Until next time,
Meredith Sheely
