As the school year comes to an end, I’ve been thinking about all the years I have been here. All of my 12 years of elementary, middle, and high school years are ending this week. I want to give some advice to the underclassmen.
Firstly, If you need help with a subject don’t be afraid to ask for help. Teachers are there for a reason and they want you to succeed. Make sure to stay up on your grades and not fall behind. You will be putting more pressure on yourself if you don’t do your work. Finally get involved in sports or clubs, don’t be nervous just do it. Doing this gave me the chance to make new friends and build friendships that will last a lifetime.
Second, make your Timberlane experience enjoyable. Make some memories that you and your friend will have because in a blink of an eye it’s all over. High School is what you make it so take chances, be kind to others, and enjoy the ride.
To my teachers and coaches, I want to say thank you for impacting my life in ways I’ll never forget. You didn’t just teach me lessons, you challenged me to be the best version of myself. Your influence goes beyond the classroom and the field, it will carry on every chapter of my life.
Sincerely Ryan Roeger
