Well… we made it. While starting in this district in elementary school, I worried if I would get my snacks stolen in my backpack or get on the wrong team in 5th grade gym class. Here I am graduating and writing this letter as a thank you for all the memories that I will carry with me for a long time.
The 2025 high school year has come to an end. After high school, some of you will be joining the work force, joining the military, or continuing your academic career. This is the last time where everyone in my class will be in the same building. Some are sad that it’s the end, some are probably happy. As I close this chapter in my life, I want to take a moment to thank everyone for having helped me this year.
Thank you to the teachers who challenged and supported me, who saw my potential and pushed me to grow. Your dedication and passion made a lasing impacted, and i carry the lessons you’ve taught through my next chapter in life
Thank you to the staff and administration who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to create a safe, welcoming and vibrant learning environment. Your effort mostly goes unseen but they make our school a safe place where students can learn and get their education.
I’ve had the privilege to grow up in this district. Starting way back in 3rd grade and continuing through my senior year of high school. That’s nearly a decade of learning and growing, and discovering who I am. All within the same community. Not everyone gets to experience this and I am very grateful to be a Danville hawk, a Timberlane tiger, and Timberlane owl. From the classroom of elementary making friends I still talk to today, to the hallways of middle school where I started figuring out what I wanted to be when I grew up, to finally high school where I truly came into my own. This district has more than just a place I went to school. It’s been a second home for me and most students here.
