Dear Timberlane,
Thank you for the last four years. I wouldn’t have met the people, played the sports, or had the experiences without you. Without you I wouldn’t have played volleyball and met new people and eventually became captain. Without you I wouldn’t have played softball and learned what it’s like to be on a winning team. I wouldn’t have met my best friends and have friendships that will last a lifetime. Everyone knows what it’s like to have friends at one point, but not everyone knows what it’s like to have friends you know that you will have forever. I always hoped to have a good group of friends but I never would have imagined that they would be this amazing. I am so glad I got to go to this school and go through this journey with them.
I wouldn’t have joined the National Honor Society and I wouldn’t have been a Member at Large. I wouldn’t have joined Best Buddies and been the Vice President. Unified Basketball would’ve never been a part of my life and I wouldn’t have met those amazing people. My grades might not have been so good and I wouldn’t have learned as much as I did. All these things that I did here shaped me into the person I am today. Learning all these things and experiencing what it is like to be committed to something is an important skill and I am lucky to have been able to learn it so young.
There are so many other things that would’ve happened without you, or not happened. But as I am leaving this school I have realized that everything has happened for a reason. I came to Timberlane as a shy kid and now I am leaving having so much experience in many different aspects of the world than I ever could’ve expected. Without Timberlane I might not be the person that I am today, and for that I am grateful.
Sincerely,
Ellie
