As I soak in my last few moments at Timberlane, I can’t help but feel a mix of satisfaction, nostalgia, and disbelief. These past 4 years have flown by faster than I ever could have imagined, and it’s getting to the point where I say goodbye to a place that has been more than just a school.
Timberlane has shaped me in ways I am only starting to understand now. The classrooms have prepared me for the next steps after high school. But the real lessons came from the countless hours spent learning, practicing, and competing throughout my soccer and baseball careers
There is no better feeling than being part of a team. From early morning practice, tough workouts, going through tough losses, celebrating hard battled wins–those are the moments I truly will never forget. Nothing beats getting to go to battle with some of my best friends that I will talk to forever and have life long friendships and memories with. Wearing those Timbo colors, hearing the excitement from the crowd, and the adrenaline rush before a big game. Those are experiences that have shaped who I am as a person and athlete.
The lessons I have gained on the field about hard work, discipline, leadership, teamwork, and having the backs of the people to my left and right will stay alongside me well after I am done with my careers
But besides the sports, it’s the people that have made these past 4 years unbelievable. I am lucky enough to have made friendships that feel like family. From teammates who became brothers, to classmates that have become lifelong friends.
As I prepare to leave Timberlane behind and start my next journey, I do so with a full heart. This school has truly given me way more than I ever could have asked for— and for that, I’ll always be forever grateful.
Once and Owl, always an Owl.
