Timberlane has been my second home for the past four years. I spent my summers here for workouts, countless hours after school for sports, even time on weekends for a handful of sporting and project hope events. There is nothing I would change about the past four years. It has been a journey to say the least. I wouldn’t trade any of the moments I’ve had at Timberlane. Some were sad, some were happy, and of course some were very funny. As an active member in our Timberlane community, I encourage all of the younger students to get involved from the start. Don’t be shy or nervous, get involved! The other advice I would give the younger students is set goals, if you want to play varsity football, make it a goal and do everything you can to achieve that goal.
Although when I walk across that stage in two weeks I will no longer be a Timberlane student, I will always be in the Timberlane community and I will always be a Timberlane alumni. I love this school and I love this area. I look forward to seeing the growth from not just the sports teams, but also the teachers, administrators and of course the students.
I have a lot of memories that will last me a lifetime and I guarantee that I will remember them for the rest of my life. For example, beating Exeter in the quarter finals on the road my sophomore year, possibly one of the biggest wins in Timberlane football program history. My first varsity football started also at Exeter High School, when I made five tackles for loss. One of the best moments was when we went to Concord and beat them by 30 points in a dual meet everyone expected us to lose. Beating Souhegan 21-20 my junior year. Right now, I’m making memories in baseball as we look to make our first playoff push in the past five years. Of course, all the time and effort I spent with my friends to put on the project hope shows for the past four years.
I hope this shows Timberlane is more than just a school to me. The teachers are great, and some of them have become more than just teachers to me. It’s the same with a lot of the coaches that have coached me over the past four years. When I walk across that stage, yes I am a class of 2025 graduate, but I am a Timberlane alumni for life and will always have the everlasting memories this community has given me.
