As this year comes to an end, not only is it just another end of school year celebration. It is now my last end of school year. These past 12 years hold many memories, many struggles, but also many successes. As this journey comes to an end, another begins. A moment that shaped me this year was being accepted to Manchester Community college. I was never interested in college, I always said I wasn’t going to go. But I actually took time into selecting the right school for me to do what I want with my career in the automotive industry.
I want to thank all my teachers for always trying to help me stay on track and always giving me that second chance to get my grades up even when I probably didn’t deserve it. One piece of advice for underclassmen I have is: don’t slack off, do your work, don’t put it off till the last second, in the end it will save you stress and you will graduate with ease. Also, stay away from drama, it will help you in the long run. I always referred to my school years as a 12 year prison sentence, because that’s what it felt like, but it is much more than that. It is connecting with friends, teachers, and the community, and also setting you up for success. There’s not much that I wish was different about school, what I will say is they should really promote the CTE program more than they do. For the kids wanting to do trades it is an excellent window of success and actually gets them out into the workforce before they decide that’s completely what they want to do.
And with that, I say goodbye. Goodbye Timberlane, thanks for all the memories, laughs and overwhelming amounts of stress.
