South Carolina has been suffering through wildfires these past couple weeks, destroying their environment and communities. Over two thousand acres of land has been scorched to the Earth and people are furious, wondering where the fires began. Authorities have investigated this arson-like crime and traced it back to Alexandra Bialousow of Myrtle Beach.
Alexandra has been a long term resident of Myrtle Beach. A simple fire, which was illegal by the current burn ban set two days earlier, quickly caught ablaze and minutes later was roaring across town. Alexandra’s lawyer stated that she felt horrible and ran outside to help fight the fire with her garden hose. A video was later released showing this but the community is still very angry at her “irresponsible actions” said one neighbor.
After the fire and police departments tracked her down, she was taken into custody for negligence with fire on two counts. Recently, she was released from County jail but set for a court date in the middle of April to determine the prosecution. Alexandra has yet to make a statement on this issue.
