The R9 is designed for riders who want a bike suitable for both street use and track days, providing a great experience in both settings. The motorcycle features winglets for improved aerodynamics during track use. Additionally, this bike is one of the few to come equipped with cruise control and self-canceling turn signals, enhancing its versatility for both track and street riders.
The R9 uses the same 890cc engine found in the MT-09, but it comes with improved fuel mapping for higher performance. This 890cc engine is a three-cylinder configuration with four valves per cylinder, producing 117 hp and 69 lb-ft of torque at 7,000 rpm. This high torque also enables impressive wheelies.
One of the standout aspects of the R9 is the array of features it offers. Among these features is a quick shifter, which enhances performance by allowing the rider to shift gears without pulling in the clutch or rolling off the throttle. Another notable feature is its ability to connect to your phone, providing access to various settings for the bike.
