The Timberlane Girls soccer team is coming off of a championship season. As a result of this, they lost multiple play making seniors that had a huge impact in their championship win. Can the underclassmen step up and remain a championship-contending team in 2024?
The Owls lost 2 key play makers: Sophia Sayers and Leah Morrier. With 9 returning juniors from the championship team, the Owls will lose a lot of player experience in the 2025 senior class. But with lots of hope and young talent, the Owls’ future could still be bright. The two young superstars for the owls are Brooke Langlois, and Alli Harb, both with two years left to help the Owls.
Timberlane started off their season strong with a 3-0 record, but found themselves in a slump losing three straight games resulting in a 3-3 record. After some ties and a win, with their most recent game resulting in a tie against Windham with a score of 1-1. The Owls stand at 4-3-3. The remainder of their schedule favors the Owls in most of their match-ups projecting them to be a playoff team.
After this season, you could say the championship window for Timberlane is closing, but even if they don’t win another championship for a while they will still be a true contender. With multiple young stars on the uprising, the future doesn’t look too bad for Timberlane Girls Soccer.
