Dear Timberlane Times,
Phthalates mostly cause long term effects, like birth defects if exposed to phthalates during pregnancy, or if a child is exposed to it as an infant or small child, it can cause long term effects on their immune system. For an adult,it influences the endocrine system and the functioning of organs. Many cosmetics, 100s of them, are linked to various diseases, like cancer, and reproductive issues that not only have a birth defect but create infertility. The cosmetics with these poisons in them are not just makeup, it’s a key ingredient in day to day cosmetics, like shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, etc. Deodorant usually is formed with aluminum, to strengthen the scent. Which in the long term also causes cancer, 99% of these cosmetics also have parfum/ fragrance. Many shampoos, conditioners and other hygienic cosmetics contain parabens. Parabens usually affect your body hormonally, and don’t really give people cancer, but increase the risk of it significantly. Parabens can also affect skin and cause irritation. It may or may not be surprising but stuff in shampoos, conditioners, etc also can contain lead, which is found in almost every way, air, water and on the earth, it can cause comas, and intellectual problems, if gotten severely, it can also cause death.
Sincerely, Dylan
