Taylor Swift just released her new album containing 13 songs. She also released 7 more “3 am” tracks. “Snow on the Beach” is the only song featuring Lana Del Rey. The album was released October 21, 2022. The longest track is “Wouldve Couldve Shouldve” with a length of 4:20. The shortest track is “glitch” with a length of 2:28. The album consists of songs about midnights she has gone through and the stories that go with them. 

The first track is “Lavender haze”, with a run time of 3:22. One of the more popular songs on the album, it is also number six on the Billboard hot 100 on November 15th. Many people like this song. It is not too long and it is a pop. Her song is speculated to be about Joe Alwyn, her current boyfriend. 

The second track is “Maroon”, this song has a run time of 3:38. This song is also a pop alternative genre song. This is said to be about Jake Gyllenhaal. This is an extension of the album Red which is why it is called Maroon. Maroon is 12th on the Billboard hot 100. 

The third song is “Anti-hero”, this song is 3:21 long. This song is about how Taylor finds herself the  anti-hero. This song is the number one song in the album right now, it is also number one in the billboard hot 100.

 The fourth song is “Snow on the beach” featuring Lana Del Rey. The run time of this song is 4:12, and is the only song on the album that has a feature.This song is number sixteen on the Billboard hot 100 list. This song symbolizes falling in love with someone while they also fall in love with you.

The fifth song is “You’re on your own kid”, with a run time of 3:14. Part of what made the song so popular is the bridge in it. This song is number twenty on the Billboard hot 100 list. This song is about how Taylor grew up in the music business, and how it changed her. I think this song is my favorite just because it talks about how Taylor grew in the industry and how she has changed from it. It is a good song and is pretty catchy when you listen to it. The bridge is a very meaningful piece in this song.

The sixth song on the album is “Midnight Rain”, it runs at 2:55. On the Billboard hot 100 list it is ranked number seven. This song is about how to leave behind a comfortable and healthy relationship of something new and scary. 

The seventh song is “Question…?” It is 3:31 long. On the Billboard hot 100 it is ranked number thirty two, not one of the best songs. This song was written about Harry styles.

The eighth song on the album is “Vigilante Shit”, this song is 2:45. It is ranked twenty fourth on the Billboard hot 100 list. This song is about getting revenge.

The ninth song is “Bejeweled”. This song is 3:14. It is number nine on the Billboard hot 100 list. This song is about Calvin Harris and addressing her feelings at the end of their relationship.

The tenth song is “Labyrinth”. It is 4:10 long. It is ranked number forty second on the Billboard hot 100 list. It is about her heartbreak with her new boyfriend coming in to help her.
The eleventh song is “Karma”, this song is 3:25 long. It is seventeenth on the Billboard hot 100. This song is about Kanye West and how karma is on taylors side. 

The twelfth song is “Sweet Nothing”, it has a run time of 3:09. It is ranked number fourty fifth on the Billboard hot 100. It is about Joe Alwyn and how it was a nonsensical romance. 

The thirteenth song is “Mastermind”. This song is 3:11 long. It is ranked number thirty eighth on the Billboard hot 100 list.This song is about how Taylor is a mastermind.

The next 7 songs are only available on the midnight 3 am version. They are “3 am” tracks. 

The fourteenth song is “The Great War” and it is 4 minutes long. This song is 87th on the Billboard hot 100 list. This song is about how heartbreak and loss are caused by conflict and tension in a relationship. This is one of our least favorite songs because it is pretty boring and not that catchy. I feel like I could honestly fall asleep to it.

The fifthteen song is “Bigger than the whole sky”. This song has a run time of 3:39. It is also on the Billboard hot 100 and is ranked number 85. This song is about losing someone you love.

The sixteenth song is “Paris”. This song is 3:16 long. It is ranked number 90 on the Billboard hot 100 list. It is about youthfulness.

The seventeenth song is “High Infidelity”. The run time of this song is 3:52. This song is on the Billboard hot 100 at 98th. It is supposedly about Calvin Harris and is about cheating and infidelity. 

The eighteenth song is called “Glitch’. This song has a run time of 2:29. It is also not on the Billboard hot 100 list. It is a song about Joe Alwyn and the intimate picture of their relationship.

The nineteenth song is named “Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve”. The running time is 4:20. This song is number 76 on the Billboard hot 100 list. This song is about John Mayer and how she regrets him everyday. I think that this song is the best because it has a great bridge and the song is meaningful and catchy. I would listen to any song Taylor writes about John. I think they had a crazy relationship and I love listening to it.

The last song number twenty is “Dear Reader”. This song has a run time of 3:45. This song is also not on the Billboard hot 100 list. This song is about the listener/reader of the song and how they can get through this. This song is my least favorite because it’s too slow and I don’t think it has a great rhythm. 

The Midnight album is ranked 5th overall with all of her other albums in my opinion.This is also helping her grow back her popularity. We believe that this album is pretty good overall. Maddies favorite song in the playlist is “Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve’. Sadie’s favorite is “You’re on your own kid”. Our least favorites are “Dear Reader” and “The Great War’.
