Harmony Montgomery was last seen two years ago. Authorities were only notified late last year of the now 7-year-old’s disappearance, according to the Manchester, NH Police.

Harmony was said to have vanished from her New Hampshire home at the age of 5 in 2019. Her father at the time had custody. Since her mother, Crystal Sorey, reported her missing in November, state and federal authorities have enacted a search for the child. Harmony is described as a four foot tall girl, weighing about 50 pounds, blind in her right eye, with blond hair, blue eyes, and glasses, according to The Washington Post.

WMUR reported, “Sorey said for months she called DCYF, law enforcement and anyone who could help her track down Harmony. ‘Anybody I could. I reached out to all of my family, too. I said we need to come forward, something is happening here,’ Sorey explained.”

After authorities were notified of Harmony’s disappearance, the case gained widespread attention leading to an increased effort and reward of over $90,000 for any information that leads to the location of the girl. Since then, her father, Adam Montgomery, as well as her step mother, Kayla Montgomery, have been arrested on charges related to the case. Mr. Montgomery was charged with second-degree assault, as well as interference with custody and endangering a child’s welfare while Mrs. Montgomery was arrested for welfare fraud, as she allegedly used food stamp benefits for Harmony, even after she had been missing according to The Washington Post.

Investigators are also asking for help in this disappearance. Chief Aldenberg, of the Manchester police begged the community for help in a conference, “I’m begging the community. I don’t care if you saw this young girl a year ago and you think it’s irrelevant. Call us.” He continued, “We need help, this remains a very active investigation. We need to find this little girl.” Information on Harmony Montgomery’s whereabouts can be relayed to Manchester Police on a new hotline which is staffed 24 hours a day, and 7 days a week. They can be contacted at (603)203-6060.
