TIMBERLANE REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL– A Timberlane Student’s favorite time of year is quickly approaching, and with everyone back in school for the first time in over a year, this spirit week is about to be one to remember.

Timberlane’s annual spirit week will take place October 25-29. Throughout the week, Timberlane students will have the opportunity to attend school wide events and service projects to promote school spirit and give back to the community. Students also will get to dress up each day to the corresponding themes to show everyone their school spirit. This year, the dressup themes are:

  • Monday: MisMatched
  • Tuesday: Movie Day
  • Wednesday: Hawaiian
  • Thursday: Throwback Thursday (Decades)
  • Friday: Color Day

Along with the dress up days, the student council also hosts night events that are popular amongst all students. The first event of the week is carnival.

Carnival will be held Tuesday night on the football field. There will be several class competitions such as tug of war and bubble ball where you can earn points for your class. There will also be food and other booths set up by different honor societies and clubs in the school. Carnival has something for everyone and is a great place to meet people and bond with members of your class in competitions.

On Wednesday Night, the annual variety show will be taking place in the PAC. Students can enter any act they want and it will be judged by teachers. The top three acts will receive prizes! Students can enter acts with as many people in them as they want and acts can consist of whatever tablets students have!

Pep Rally will be taking place outside on color day. Students will dress in their corresponding class color (Freshman-blue, Sophomores-red, Juniors-green, Seniors-Toga) and stand in the bleachers to promote school spirit. Seniors will have the annual toga walk down to the track to gain recognition. The cheer team and dance team will perform and competitions between honor societies, class presidents will take place!

Along with these school spirit events, there is also a service project to give back to the community. The Student Council will be hosting penny wars between classes. There will be jugs at lunches to collect coins for your class. Put coins in your classes jug to gain points and put dollar bills in another class’s jar to make them lose points! The class who raises the most money will donate all the money raised to a charity of their choice!

Student Council president Kaylie Sheffield has been working tirelessly along with the rest of the student council to make this spirit week the best yet. Sheffield says “I am most excited to have every student under the same roof for the first time in over a year. It will be great to see everyone come together and experience the atmosphere that spirit week creates.” Show your school spirit this week and get involved in the fun!
