Did Trippie Redd Just Drop His Best Album?
September 30, 2021
Trippie Redd’s new released album hit #2 on Billboard 200. Trip at Knight was released on August 20, and is a sequel to his debut album Life’s a Trip. Life’s a Trip hit #4 on Billboard 200. Trip at Knight earned 107.99 million streams in the first week it was released.
Trippie Redd has came out with multiple different styles of music. His last album, NEON SHARK vs. Pegasus was his first ever album to not contain hip hop or rap in it. He wanted to come out with a rock project. For Trip at Knight, he announced that he was making it a rage album. The album originally dropped with 17 tracks, but the next day a completed edition came out with the 18th track.
Many popular artists appeared on this album as a feature.
- Drake

- Ski Mask the Slump God
- Lil Uzi Vert
- Playboi Carti

KSuave, SoFaygo, and Iann Dior performed alongside Trippie as opening acts for the Trip at Knight tour.
Trip at Knight is definitely Trippie’s best rage album. The downfall to it is that all the songs sound very similar. They may get boring after awhile since they all have different varieties of the same beat behind them. Even though it is repetitive, it was a good album for a tour because it gets everyone up on their feet.
It could be up to debate on whether or not this was his best album so far. Each album gives off a different vibe so it depends on what each person likes. Abby Cugno states, “I think Trip at Knight is Trippie’s best album so far because he has a lot of features from other people that makes the album better.” John Kayyal also has an opinion on this stance and said, “Nah, Life’s a Trip is better.” I personally agree with this claim.
Trip at Knight was a great rage album and an even better tour, but not my favorite album. I don’t think anything can top off Life’s a Trip. Trippie does his own unique things and I like how he switches up his style of music with each album. I think his rage songs are good, but the vibes on Life’s a Trip is the best he does.
