Woman Injured at Pitbull Concert

22 year old woman, Madysen Audet, was the victim of a physical attack at a Pitbull concert in recent weeks. Audet went to the concert, and by the time she regained consciousness after being attacked by an unknown man, she was already being wheeled out on a stretcher with no feeling from her waist down. This happened at the concert in Gilford, New Hampshire and started when an intoxicated man lost his drink..

According to 7 News the attack occurred at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford on August 29th. Audet reported that the last thing she remembered was dancing in the audience before she was knocked unconscious. The cause of this was discovered to be a man and a woman who also was attending the concert. The man was supposedly enraged over a lost drink and was searching for it amongst the people around him. Audet saw the man in distress and offered to replace his drink for him. What occurred after this was exactly what left Madysen in the state she is currently in.

The man responded to her gesture very unexpectedly, and Audet told CBS news that he

“Lunged over three rows of seats just to uppercut her in the face.” Audet fell to the ground, as another woman who accompanied the man jumped on top of her and started to punch her in the face multiple times according to other witnesses there. The fight was broken up, and Audet was immediately rushed to the hospital. It was discovered that she suffered from blunt force trauma to the spinal cord, which resulted in paralysis from the waist down. The assailants were not identified, and the Gilfdord PD says they have narrowed in on possible suspects and will be further investigating through surveillance cameras and other witnesses.

As for Madysen she was left in the hospital paralizyed from her waist down. Doctors unfortunately do not know if the condition will be permanent or not yet. Audet has been reportedly staying positive and mentioned in an interview with 7 News that, “I’m kinda hoping with positivity and staying distracted that this isn’t really going to be a reality and that this is just temporary and something I’ll be able to get through.” All she hopes, other than for a full recovery, is that justice is served to those who put her in this state, and that hopefully they learned a lesson too.
