NCAA Football-CFP National Championship

This year’s College Football Playoff consists of four teams that are very talented. #1 is Alabama, #2 is Clemson, #3 is Ohio State, and #4 is Notre Dame. There’s no question that all these teams are good enough to be in the top four, but there was question with Ohio State just because of the amount of games they were able to get in despite COVID-19 complications. Maybe we haven’t seen enough of how their team plays, maybe a team like Texas A&M deserved it more just because they played a full schedule and were a one loss team in arguably the most competitive conference in college football. Definitely some good arguments for both sides, but the committee decided on these four teams.

The way the bracket works is the #1 team will play the #4 team, and the #2 team will play the #3 team. The two semifinal bowl games did not disappoint with Alabama vs. Notre Dame in the Rose Bowl Game, and Clemson vs. Ohio State in the Allstate Sugar Bowl Game.

Alabama did exactly what was expected in the Rose Bowl against Notre Dame. Although the score wasn’t a huge number, it still felt like a dominating win for the Crimson Tide. However, in the Sugar Bowl, Ohio State definitely proved themselves in a dominating win over Clemson. Everyone that said Ohio State wasn’t good enough to make the CFP just got shut up in a big way. Especially Head Coach Dabo Swinney of Clemson after ranking Ohio State as #11 in the country.

College Football Playoff Semifinal Bowl Game Results:

#1 Alabama vs. #4 Notre Dame in the Rose Bowl presented by Capital One, Alabama wins 31-14

#2 Clemson vs. #3 Ohio State in the Allstate Sugar Bowl, Ohio State Wins 49-28

Alabama played Ohio State in the College Football Playoff National Championship. After Ohio State’s huge win over Clemson, there was question that Alabama would be able to dominate the Buckeyes like they have against everyone else. One thing that stayed a constant even after the Sugar Bowl was that it was not going to be an easy game for the Buckeyes. Alabama answered all of the questions with another dominating win over the Buckeyes by a score of 52-24. The University of Alabama are National Champions once again.
