300 Immigrants Moving To Florida

There are many problems and events going on in the United States right now, and immigrants traveling to Florida for what officials call “smuggling operations” is one of them. The immigrants that went to Florida caused a huge inconvenience in relying on the Coast Guards to help them to safety. This was very unexpected and the Coast Guards are still in the process of checking on everyone to bring them to safety.

“On Sunday March 7,2022, U.S Customs and Border Protection told MBC news in a statement that the agency, along with the Coast Guard and local law enforcement responded to a marine smuggling event that made landfall in the Ocean Reef, Florida.” This is an investigation according to this statement. The immigrants landed in Ocean Reef Florida. They appeared to be Haitian, according to the law enforcement source. Many immigrants were seen to need medical attention.

No illegal activity has been done so far but the law enforcement is trying to seek as much medical attention that is needed for the immigrants. The responders made sure people were okay. A border patrol officer named Slosar stated what the responders were doing, “coordinated response with our state, federal and local partners, making sure that we get medical and safety checks and then get these individuals processed and transported to our station in Florida.”

This arrival of immigrants being transported to another destination was very effective to the law enforcement seeing they were just given over 300 immigrants to try and help without a notice. As of March 15th, they are still trying to bring them back to the station and making sure everything and everyone is safe.
