Gas prices are going up and it is too expensive to fill your gas tanks.

Since November gas prices have been going up and up. Tim Smart of USA News says that “The average price of a gallon of gas in the US is now up $2.40, up 15 cents from a month ago and the highest since early March of last year when the country began lockdown to combat the Coronavirus pandemic.” This is making it difficult for people to fill up their tanks. They are blowing a lot of money on gas. This isn’t going to change anytime soon because people are traveling as they are getting vaccinated. Some people are not back to work or only part-time making it harder for them to pay more to fill up their automobiles. I used to pay $50 tops to fill up my truck now I am paying $65. That is a lot of extra money weekly.

California is reporting the highest gas prices at $3.49, Hawaii is at $3.33 the lowest gas prices are in Mississippi at $2.09.  Gas prices are rising because the price of crude oil prices are rising. Top analysts say it will continue. GasBuddy states the gas prices are up three cents from a year ago. GasBuddy is an app, where you can find the lowest prices for gas in any area you travel too. I can see myself using GasBuddy in the future to see where the best prices are. Dominic Pallaria has also felt the rise in gas prices as his fill up is usually $20 and is now over $30 for Ford fiesta which is a small car and usually cheap to fill up. The lowest gas prices in NH that I can find is $2.13 at Kenco Food Mart in Wakefield, NH. This is up about 39 cents from May 2020.

Gas prices going up really stinks, it’s tough to pay for gas during a school year as you don’t have that much time to work and earn money. Especially if you play sports. You don’t want to be worried about paying a lot of money for gas along with everything else going on in the world.
